I visited the Lynnfield location today with two friends for a holiday lunch. I expected so much more. The server was pleasant enough but painfully slow. He took our drink order and pretty much disappeared. We waited 20 minutes, if not longer, for our drinks which came separately. A $16.00 bloody mary from a cart that did not wow at all. Water and bread for the table took the same amount of time. The food was mediocre at best. We were never offered coffee or dessert, simply presented with the check. It was not that busy so maybe they were not staffed properly. Upon leaving, the manager, who did not crack a smile did not engage at all ti inquire how our meal was or to thank us for coming in. These are the things you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Disappointed to say the least.

The food was amazing. The chef accommodated in the best way possible. The carbonara pasta was not on the menu and they made it for me. It was really good. The staff was friendly but seemed inexperienced. The waitress didn't really check in with me and I had to go out of my way to ask a manager for my check. Will I return, probably for take out. The food was great but there's a lack of diversity. Try hiring some African Americans or other races for that matter. That's a major turn off, there no diversity in here!!! Change that!

We arrived at the Braintree location and everything was excellent, as Mr. Rask promised it would be. We also spoke with the Braintree restaurant manager, Christopher Watson, several times throughout the evening. He, like Mr. Trask, went out of his way to ensure that our experience was enjoyable.

Christmas Eve dinner for 6. 2 of us ordered lobster risotto. Lobster over cooked rice undercooked. 4 people happy, 2 screwed - as far as I’m concerned 100% management failure - wanted to stop at McDonald’s on the way home just to have something to eat. But couldn’t risk embarrassing those who recommended Davios.

A few minutes later, he called me back and told me that he was able to arrange a reservation for that time. He was extremely kind and helpful.

I told him that I was interested in visiting again this weekend (December 8, 2017) , but was concerned about the heavy snowfall that was forecast to blanket New England. Mr. Rask informed me that he understood and asked if there was a second Davio's location that was closer to me.

Upon my departure, the manager, Matthew Rask, was made aware of my unhappiness with the seating arrangement and reached out to me. We spoke for several minutes on the phone and he apologized. He then asked if I would return to the Lynnfield location so that he could ensure that my second visit was superior to the first.

I first visited the Lynnfield location two weeks ago and was underwhelmed with the experience (namely, the seating arrangement for myself and a second guest). I should note here that the service and food were both excellent during the visit.

I would definitely return to both the Lynnfield and Braintree locations in the future.

Had a great meal with excellent service. The crab cake were fresh and cooked perfectly. Short ribs were tender and flavorful. Tuna tartar was a perfect starter. The great service made the meal even better.
